Accessing Research Sources

This guide provides detailed instructions for accessing, downloading, and managing the research sources used in your CustomGPT.ai Researcher reports.

Quick Access Methods

Method 1: Via Task Progress

The Task Progress screen provides real-time access to sources as they're being gathered during research.

  1. Access the Task Progress:

    • Click on "Tasks" in the left sidebar
    • Select your active research task
    • Look for the "Successfully gathered information from X reliable sources" section
  2. View Sources:

    • Sources appear in a chronological list
    • Each source includes:
      • Title
      • Direct link
  3. Copy Sources:

    • Use your cursor to select the entire source list
    • Right-click and choose "Copy" or use Ctrl+C (Cmd+C on Mac)
    • Paste into your preferred document editor like Google Docs.

Method 2: Using Markdown Export

Transform your research's Markdown export into a formatted source list using AI tools like ChatGPT or Claude.

  1. Download the Markdown:

    • Go to your completed research
    • Click the "Copy Markdown" button
  2. Process with ChatGPT or Claude:

    • Open ChatGPT, Claude or your preferred AI tool.
    • Copy your Markdown content
